Thailand - Japan Student ICT Fair 2022 (TJ-SIF 2022)
At Princess Chulabhorn Science High School Chiang Rai

2 years ago, the Thailand - Japan Student Science Fair 2020 (TJ-SSF 2020) was held at PCSHS TRUNG to mark the end of the festival and assure a deeper understanding of science and a close friendship among Thai and Japanese youth. It was very successful between Thailand and Japan. And now the time has come for the next fair!

In 2022, it will be called "Thailand-Japan Student ICT Fair 2022 (TJ-SIF2022)," and it will be held at Princess Chulabhorn Science High School Chiang Rai (PCSHSCR) from 21st December 2022 to 23rd December 2022.

It is again organized with an emphasis on students’ projects on Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The topics cover Automatic Control, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, Software and Smart Electronics, Virtual Reality and IoT Applications.

Hope to see everyone ready to share, learn and have fun!

The White Temple
The White Temple in Chiang Rai province known as Wat Rong Khun for Thais is one of the most unique and somewhat bizarre destinations in Southeast Asia. The White Temple is a stunning example of contemporary and traditional Thai architecture. The Singha Park
The Singha Park is a large area working farm with fruit orchards and tea plantations. The farm is now more famous for its production of Oolong tea, and tours of the park provide visitors with the chance to see how the tea is grown and carefully picked. The 1st Thailand-Japan Educational Leaders Symposium: Technology for Education


Educational Leaders plays a significant role in setting direction, creating a positive school culture, supporting staff motivation, and enhancing students' academic achievement. While significant, the COVID-19 pandemic means that Educational Leaders have been called upon to lead through times of VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity)

The challenge for society in this disruptive era of rapid technological change. Despite the challenges and concerns, it's important to note the benefits of technology in education. The effective use of digital learning tools in classrooms can increase student engagement, help teachers improve their lesson plans, and facilitate personalized learning. It also helps students build essential 21st-century skills. Such changes require Educational Leaders with leadership and educational management capabilities, which will be essential for driving the education system at national and international levels.

The Office of Basic Education Commission, Ministry of Education Thailand and Chiang Mai University are hosting an academic virtual conference titled “The 1st Thailand-Japan Educational Leaders Symposium: Technology for Education (TJ-ELS 2022)” on 22 December 2022 This conference will serve as a platform for school leaders, teachers, educators and participants from Thailand and Japan for academic exchange on Technology for Education in challenging times. The conference will call for abstracts for oral and poster presentations in research symposim.

Thailand-Japan Game Programming Hackathon 2022


1.1 What is “Hackathon”
"Hackathon" is a coined word combining "hack" and "marathon". It is a contest that competes in originality and technology. Participants team up and develop software in a few days on a given theme.

1.2 Thailand Japan Game Programming Hackathon
Thailand Japan Game Programming Hackathon (hereinafter referred to as TJ-GPH) is a game programming contest for high school students in Thailand and Japan. Until now, students from Princess Chulabhorn Science High School (hereinafter referred to as PCSHS) in Thailand and students from National Institute of Technology (hereinafter referred to as Kosen) in Japan have participated in the contest.

In TJ-GPH, students make teams and compete in hackathon style. The purpose of th is contest is improving technological skills, mutual cultural understanding and international exchange by students in each country.

TJ-GPH is comprised of 3 contests, "The Preliminary Round in Thailand ","The Preliminary Round in Japan" and "The Final Ro und".

12 Princess Chulabhorn Science High Schools

Twelve Princess Chulabhorn Science High Schools (PCSHS) were established in honor of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn to commemorate her 36th birthday in 1993. Prof. Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn is the youngest daughter of His Late Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit of Thailand.

She has been an instructor in Chemistry at Mahidol University since 1985. She is also a member of the President's Council of the University of Tokyo.

Being Thailand's leading Super Science High Schools around the country, only students with outstanding academic achievements in Mathematics and Science are selected to study at PCSHS. Not only do they utilize specialized and intensive curricula in mathematics and science emphasizing on research activities, but also they have developed academic cooperation with twelve Super Science High Schools (SSHs) in Japan. The cooperation has included online communication and students/teachers exchange, which led to collaborative researches.

The TJ-SIF 2022 will take a big step towards the collaborative learning and teaching, and thus building closer and stronger collaboration in gifted education in Mathematics ,Science and Technology between the two countries.

Super Science High Schools

Super Science High Schools (SSH Schools) are senior high schools that prioritize Science, Technology and Mathematics and in so doing these schools will receive the SSH designation awarded by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). The program was launched as part of its "Science Literacy Enhancement Initiatives" in 2002.

SSH schools with this status receive increased funding and are encouraged to develop links with universities and other academic institutions. Selected high schools are expected to develop curricula based on Science and Mathematics in cooperation with universities or research institutes.

In 2002, the first year of operation, 26 out of 77 applicant schools were awarded SSH status. As of the 2006 Academic year there are 201 schools with the designation.
